I'm back in Illinois, so have more e-mail. Didn't we have an awesome time? Let's do it again without germs.
Current music: "Rowena," Meic Stevens
OK, let me rant on this for a bit. The amazing thing about Outlander to me is that while acoustic-guitar singer-songwriter folk is great, and I love the really disorientingly freaked-out sound of hard-core 60s psychedelia, I have never before heard someone manage to play the latter as the former. Consider, for instance, the early demo version of "Yorric," which doesn't sound like anything else in the world. And am I deluded, or is there Fairport Convention influence in "Rowena"?
Yes, again, and soon! Good to hear you made it back safe and sound.
And thank you so much for slipping me the Meic Stevens—I am seriously becoming addicted to that song. I can sort of hear the Fairport there, but I much more hear the Strawbs (a touch proggier, if that makes sense). Good stuff either way. (Oh, and Anna doesn't like this song, either. Ah, well, I tried.)

Is that a euphemism for something? Just what HAVE you been up to?

Cause there are days my inbox is sore and I'm walking funny the next day.
