Well, the heat's back on, which is a good thing. The landlords chose today (high of 21°F) to replace the boiler downstairs, which sucks even with the five day warning we received. Many hugs for those friends surviving the hideous cold in the Midwest—do stay warm! *thermal hugs*

As for those in the Boston area, hie thee over to Pandemonium Books at Central Square by 7 p.m. for a reading by [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna from her Orphan's Tales, along with a gala performance by [livejournal.com profile] s00j and an art show of works inspired by the books. Do Not Miss This, folks.

By the way, you can tell you've been reading The Orphan's Tales when you hear the sentence, "I greet my fleece pants as I would a Sultan" come out of your mouth.

Next time, if you could give me more than 2 hours warning I might go.

Yeah- the are shutting down the bus service here at 7 PM for the first time in *years*. Not because of the storm, but because of the *ice* pellets which are hissing down the windows
as I type this! But I have food, I have tea (sweet spicy and jasmine), Natural mint hot coacoa
with martianmellows in case of dire emergency. I think I can survive a two day storm:D.

I also have extra blankets and warm clothes in case the power fails. I even have a candle or two!

Off-topic, but would visiting from Dec. 16-17 (http://catamorphism.livejournal.com/1426094.html) be okay? Let me know -- if not, I can rearrange and visit sometime after Dec. 26. It would be good to know soon, since this affects buying bus tickets that are cheaper if bought 14 days in advance :-D
