Sign-off from my favorite caller of the day: "Whatever you do, do the hell out of it." I'm going to make that into a wall sampler.

This would be the same caller who started off by asking me the rate on a certain call, and when I appended the amount with "plus tax," protested, "Plus tax? I don't pay taxes! I'm an alien! I just got here, like, ten minutes ago." (Refreshingly, he was joking, and did not believe said statement to be true.) Later in the call, I offered to connect him to the business office:

Him: Will that cost me anything?
Me: Nope, it's free.
Him: Really?
Me: Yup.
Him: Do I get chicken with that?
Me: Now you're pushing it.

I liked him. He had a good laugh.

I should add that last night I was talking to a guy who had vocal chord surgery and now has a rocking scar across his throat. I told him that if anyone ever asks about it, he should just look at that person and intone, "There can be only one!" Bless him, he laughed.
