I heard "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" for the first time this year, one night as I was driving home from a fairly festive event. It almost causes one's ears to bleed but, for a moment, it was the greatest Christmas song I'd ever heard! (really, if you somehow don't know this song, check it out on youtube - the kids'll probably enjoy it at least)
