Pain. Double-over-type pain.

This is a formal announcement that I will from this day forward eschew, spurn and otherwise avoid any chicken concoctions that involve the word "Buffalo" in their names. This is to be upheld regardless of presence of bones, sandwich materials, or Bleu cheese, or where said concoction falls on the Mild-Moderate-Hot-Chernobyl continuum.

I hereby give all readers of this forum permission to prevent any inadverdent transgressions regarding this by-law, using physical force if necessary: "Mmmyes, I'll have the Buffalo chic— *WHAP* Ow, stop th— *WHAP* Ow! That menu hur— *WHAPWHAPWHAP*"

Thank you. If anyone needs me, I'll be dead.

Ooh - you should instead give the Bison Chicken wings to our new expansion of Killer Bunnies - to make them dead. :P

Actual buffalo rocks the proverbial Casbah. Bring it on!

Well if you ever come to Austin, I'll guide you to Hut's. I'm not sure if they have a two-for-one night on buffalo burgers, though. Still, best burgers in Austin.

..concoction falls on the Mild-Moderate-Hot-Chernobyl continuum...

You almost listed Hooters's "heat" listings perfectly.. except, instead of "Chernobyl", they have "3 Mile Island", and they also have "911".

I will try to remember to help you about your chicken issue, but as I'm over 1000 miles away, I imagine you'll have to count on [livejournal.com profile] rafaela to act as my proxy. :)

[identity profile] slipjig.livejournal.com 2005-09-23 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
*laugh* Have never done the Hooters thing. Might have to someday, just for the trainwreck of it all.

Excellent! More for me. :)

Hope you survive!

[identity profile] slipjig.livejournal.com 2005-09-23 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Somehow did, thanks.

the sadist in me is pleased by this post. not the doubled-over-in-pain part. the menu-thwapping part. heee.

Step back, O Evil Menu-Thwapping Jen-Person! Back, I say!

*stepping forward*

Ahhhh, the wonderful world of things with buffalo in the name! I have managed to stay away from those evil things myself. I even found myself today staring at buffalo wings at college, and remembering how sick I get when I eat them.

Maybe I should get your lady a taser to help you in this. Mwhahahah!!!

[identity profile] slipjig.livejournal.com 2005-09-23 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
*nods* Yeah. They're like cocaine, I guess: "NO. You remember last time?" "B-but...it looks so gooood..."

[identity profile] odheirre.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Ye gods man, you've eaten Kung Pao Chicken, a dish that requires you to eat quickly, if not because the increasing burn, then because it dissolves the silverware.

Mmmm...blue cheese.

[identity profile] slipjig.livejournal.com 2005-09-23 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
See, now, that doesn't do bad things like Ninety-Nine's buffalo chicken sandwich does. But yeah, I remember the first batch of kung pao I ever got from Lauren, complete with auditory hallucinations. Man, was that good....

Not to make you sicker or anything, but.....

I just watched fever pitch (jimmy falon, drew barrymore) and when he arrives for their first date, she meets him at the door sick to her stomach, and says 'we went to a new place for lunch, I'll never get the chic...." before covering her mouth and running to the bathroom to throw up.

Jimmy puts her to bed, cleans up the throw up in the bathroom, makes her some tea, and sleeps on the couch to make sure she is ok.

Hope you feel better soon

*sigh* That's about what [livejournal.com profile] rafaela did for me. *happy sigh* Much better today.

[identity profile] of-remedye.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Eep!

I'm told you should only eat them in Buffalo anyway ...

[identity profile] slipjig.livejournal.com 2005-09-23 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, sure, now you tell me! *giggle*
