So this is that "morning" thing everyone's been talking about

Yes, I am up at seven in the morning.

This is because it was hot and sticky last night, and I did not sleep. All night.

The weather will be just as hot, if not hotter, for the next several days.

I do not think I will be able to sleep if the weather continues to be like this.

I would like an air conditioner. I cannot, at this time, afford an air conditioner.

....

Swear to gods, people, I'm considering a hotel room tonight. My budget can suck it.

Didja check at Lowe's? Sometimes they have those little one-room jobs for about $100...

Likewise Walmart, I'm fairly positive I saw a small window unit in the $100 range yesterday. When I was given my window unit, it was $150 on Amazon.

Also? Fans can help a lot.

We've been trying to work the fan thing, but although it's helping, it's not really helping enough. I normally can't stand WalMart, but under the the circumstances it might be worth a try. Thanks!

Five un-air-conditioned summers in Texas... I had to get creative.

Actually I've been avoiding turning on the A/C even though I have it. A good window fan to blow in the night air, a smaller fan kept close by for a nice direct breeze... that's my current set-up.

Hadn't tried that. Will give it a look. Thanks!
