1) What is your dearest hope for December?
Peace of mind, alleviation of stress, and success with the upcoming visit. Yes, that's three hopes, but they're connected. I feel justified.

2) What'cha doin'?
At the moment, doing mindless Web surfing, yawning, trying to work the kinks out of my back, and killing time before I make a phone call. How 'bout you?

3) What's the best thing about lime juice?
It makes pad Thai that much better. 'Nuff said.

4) After all this time, who has been your greatest influence in music? In puzzles? In religion? In life?
Ooo, good one.... Hmmm... Well, musical influences change pretty much annually; I've gone from John Renbourn to Michelle Shocked to Richard Thompson to Ani Difranco to Richard Shindell to who-knows-who (although in the truest sense, I'd have to say Lauren, because she really taught me to trust my own voice). For puzzles, it's a toss-up between Kit Williams, Robert Abbott, and Scott Kim; I'm leaning towards Abbott. Religion and life...hmm...y'know, I don't think I have a good answer for that, because both have been influenced by dozens upon dozens of people, which makes it hard to single any one person out. I'll have to leave those open.

5) So precisely what do you want to do when I get to New York?
Umm...well, I answered that on the phone, so...um...*hides*

6) Do you like Sesame Street? If so, what's your fave part/character? Can you tell me how to get there? :-)
Sesame Street rules all known worlds (or at least it did, before they ruined it). I am now, and always have been, a Cookie Monster fanatic; he's the one character who is guaranteed to crack me up on a consistent basis. And if I knew how to get there, I'd be there, dope-slapping the snot out of Telly.

7) Why god why?
You're asking the wrong fellow, I'm afraid. I ask that regularly myself. Still don't know.

8) What up dog?
Nut'n' much. What's shakin' with you?

9) Where do you get the knowledge you need to create all those clues for the games you make in Games magazine?
Honestlly? I'm terrible at writing clues; the majority of the conventional clues are written by the editors, because they plain ol' throw out mine. (Cryptic clues are another matter entirely; they keep better than half of those these days.) But as for the ones I write, it's mostly just absorption from reading too much pop culture-related nonfiction. I do use online references, though, when I can't come up with a decent clue on my own.

If you wanna ask somethin', do feel free to chime in. And thanks to everyone for responding!

I am digesting a tasty Odwalla bar while chatting with my best friend, [livejournal.com profile] tzi. She's been in my life as long as [livejournal.com profile] ryokan has, and I love her more than chocolate, coffee ice cream, and sushi all put together. Figuratively speaking, of course. I am also feeling very happy. That's what I'm doin'.

THANK you! i am so glad we agree on this. *breathes more easily* Obviously, you are someone i can trust. If you'd answered that you love the "Elmo's World" segment, i might have had to discontinue all communication with you!
