I recall many many occasions where I had FINALLY gotten the damned strings in tune when one of the strings went SPOINGNGNGNGNGNGNGNG

Which of COURSE meant loosening all the others to where they are totally loose, restringing the offending string, and trying to slowly tighten each string just a lil bit til I have them all FINALLY matching the bell tones...

By which point I didn't want to PLAY the danged guitar anymore...
