Bad news / good news

Well, Nik's got himself another 102-plus fever and another sore throat, so we have ourselves a miserable little buckaroo. The doc says it's not strep (thank gods), but it is viral, of the wait-it-out-for-4-to-5-days variety. Luckily, the Motrin has kicked in, so he's a bit more chipper now.

The good news is, I've got the December issue of Games now [utterly shameless plug], which means I'll have something to do at work when the managers are otherwise occupied; it's an exceptionally good issue. They gave one of the two puzzles of mine three stars, meaning that they think it's really damn hard; my ego is nicely stroked now, thank you. (I'm just tickled that they pay me.) Also, they have the Games 100 in there as well (for non-readers, that's their annual buyer's guide the the year's 100 best games). If anyone needs my Christmas list, please open to page whatever-it-is, and go nuts. Actually, any one of those 100 games and someone to play it with would be even better...

And did anyone else know that there's such a thing as generic birth control pills? Kristi and I didn't, but evidently the pharmacy did.
