Step 2: Attempt to put small cranky sleeping child in his crib.
Step 3: Watch in growing frustration as small cranky sleeping child wakes up at the instant any part of his body touches the mattress, not a moment before, and screams bloody murder.
Step 4: Pick up small cranky wide-awake child and carry him back to the living room.
Step 5: Repeat steps 1 to 4 until dawn, by which time small cranky child will be Ready to Party.
That was last night. So far, it's also tonight. I'll give a full report on Ani when I'm able to move my nose more than four inches from the keyboard.
