So here we are again, if you can stand it:

This week's RaveTen )

Tune in next week for, well, pretty much more of the same.

Today was Abbey's last day of kindergarten; everybody join me in a collective "Awww, yeah!" We got her report card from Mrs. McDowell, who just loves Miss Abbey to death, and there were few surprises: In readin' and 'ritin', she is doing fabulously; in 'rithmetic, she is downright stellar; in social and personal skills, like "Following Directions" and "Taking Responsibility"...ummm...well, let's just say that she opted for the "Needs More Time" category only because there wasn't a box labelled, "Ahem..." Yep, that's our Abbey. But as I said, Mrs. McDowell's nuts about her, and even gave us her mailing and e-mail addresses so that Abbey can practice her writing by sending her letters this summer.

I think the whole thing was summed up best by Kristi. After discussing the report card results, she got that bemused, slightly awed, where-did-the-time-go look that all parents perfect, and said, "Our daughter made it through kindergarten." She then buried her brow in both hands and moaned, "How did our daughter make it through kindergarten?"

She was referring to the fact that she didn't seem old enough, but however you take it, it sticks.
