After the storm

So much for plans: last night our power went out yet again during a nasty thunderstorm. We live on a hill on the outskirts of a town that's almost too small to have outskirts, and evident;y the local power grid is made out of Kleenex and twist-ties, because it goes kablooey whenever the weather kicks up. Which of course meant no Internet, and ergo no LJ, from 7:45 on. And when we got up, the electricity was back, but cable was not, and we're on a cable modem. Dammit dammit ferking dammit...

So any entries / replies / whatever that I was intending to do got shelved, unfortunately. I do need to cover two bits of business, though: first, even though I replied to everyone individually, I want to thank everyone for their replies to the last post. You all are amazing, dear friends to me, and I am so, so grateful to have you here. *hugs to all* I can't thank you enough.

And second, I was obviously prevented from doing the RaveTen yesterday, and I don't have the energy to do it now, and tomorrow just seems too darn late, so unless y'all are seriously clamoring to hear me blathering at this exact moment, I think I'll let it go until next week. *yawnstretch*
