Peck's Bad Boy
Mar. 18th, 2004 10:33 amThe word "bad" is such a relative term. By way of illustration, observe the following strata of badness:
Bad: Getting a call from your son's day care center, regarding his behavior.
Worse: Having said call take place after he's only been there for an hour.
Even Worse: Being told that you need to come and get the boy right away, because his behavior will not be tolerated.
Ow, My Head...: Getting to the day care center, and being informed that he is being let go.
Yep. Nik's day care fired him.
This is really a short story (he bit a little girl in his room when she wouldn't give his toy truck back) that disguises a long one (this wasn't the first time). We're still going over various child care options at this point, but there's nothing really to report just yet. Meanwhile, Nik doesn't know how to deal with the fact that Daddy is very, very angry with him. He drew me a picture while I was discussing the situation on the phone with his mother, and held it up to me: "See my picture? You're happy now, right?" *sigh* Even when I'm ready to send him off to boarding school, he turns me into a Daddy-shaped puddle of Jello.
Watch this space for further developments.
