Okay, this has just crossed the line from "irksome" to "distressing."

About a week or so ago, I got hammered by a mini-wave of dizzy spells, three of them in the space of 36 hours. The spells in question were longer and more pronounced than any I've expreienced before, each 15-20 minutes long or so, and accompanied by a mild case of nausea. One of them hit while I was on the interstate, which was not especially fun. I did get it checked out, but all non-dizzy-spell parameters (blood pressure, auxiliary symptoms, etc.) were evidently fine, except for my legs bothering me a touch, the result of a banged-up ankle from child-wrangling. So we basically chalked the whole shebang up to unadressed stress, and the doctor sent me on my way with instructions to take it easy on myself, and call for more extensive testing if the spells keep happening.

The thing is, they didn't keep happening. Just this morning, in fact, I was remarking to myself that I hadn't had a single incident since then. I really need to learn not to make such remarks to myself, because I jinxed myself, and badly. On the way home from a late-morning / early-afternoon ramble with Abbey (which I'll write about a bit later), another dizzy spell hit, flavored about the same as last week's. My former dad-in-law got to watch me try to walk to the front door, and failing to stay on the sidewalk (I was pulling to the left pretty consistently). I asked him to chase the wee ones for me for a bit while I went to lie down until it passed.

That was four hours ago.

The room is still spinning.

I'm now officially worried.
