Gee, Adam, long time, no post
Sep. 20th, 2004 08:01 pm1) Yes, I'm alive.
2) Things I emphatically don't like: learning that my rapidly-approaching vacation from work is actually a week later than I'd been led to believe. Oh, joy and rapture. I'm extraordinarily glad that I didn't go and buy airline tickets or anything.
3) I haven't heard from Mom in a few days. Last I heard, she and Bob were loading up the truck to head down to the (very) windswept beauty of the Alabama Gulf Coast to see if their dream house still had a few amenities, like, oh, say, a roof. She had said that there was a chance (I'm knocking wood as I write this) that they edged out of the major-damage foot print, and that the ruination to their house would be mostly cosmetic. *crosses fingers—all of them*
4) We're making plans to see the kids soon. I must now do the Dance of the Happies. *does so*
5) Still no car. I must do the Dance of the Unhappies. *ain't much to look at*
6) Sunny has a collar and tag now. There's nothing more entertaining than watching a hopped up cat repeatedly making sudden leaps backwards in an effort to get a look at whatever that *@#%!ing thing is that's standing right under her damn chin. Poor dear.
7) Anybody out there got a copy of New Tricks by Old Blind Dogs? I'm desperately craving a copy of "The Bonnie Banks of Fordie."
