1) Stuffed full of Thai chicken curry. Life is a grand, grand thing.

2) My job reached a sparkly new nadir of bureaucratic dross today: I was taken off the boards for a half-hour to flip through a huge loose-leaf notebook crammed with every intra-office memo issued over the last two years, signing and dating each one to prove that, yes, I've read it. Yes, I'm now aware of New York City's new dialing procedures, instituted in March of 2003. Yes, I've been appraised of the dates that Daylight Savings Time took place last spring. And thank you, Verizon, for making me feel like I'd wandered into a remake of Brazil. I'll just take my Kool-Aid and sit quietly now, if you don't mind.

3) You long-distance friends, comrades, and people I love to hug seriously need to, like, move closer. I mean it. And you know who you are.

4) I wasn't heretofore aware that my daughter had such strong opinions on proper air guitar technique until this weekend, let alone how such opinions applied specifically to "Camelwalk" by Southern Culture on the Skids.

5) I missed the Oscars, due to an unforgiving work schedule and a painful lack of basic cable. Phooey. In other news, the whole Paul Giamatti thing still gets on my wick.

6) Ooo. I'd forgotten about that particular effect of Thai chicken curry. I'd best wrap this up before I wake up with keyboard marks on my face....
