Random stuff for a Saturday morning
Apr. 30th, 2005 10:42 am1) Sleep has gotten weird for me as of late: bizarre sleep cycle, and vivid, warped dreams involving moving vans and Wendy's drive-up windows and bicycles colliding with each other and interrupted sex. I would appreciate it if Federico Fellini would resign as director now, thank you.
2) Much good music-making with
rafaela lately, including strong-arming some Moody Blues, Mike Nesmith and ABBA songs to force them to our low-key folkie will, a fight which we're miraculously winning by a landslide. Anna has taken a shine to my dulcimer, and it's become a gorgeous contribution. Coming soon to a street corner near you! Have your dollar bills at the ready!
3) Chatting with the kidlings last night, I asked Nik what he had going tonight, and he proceeded to give me a detailed, ordered description of his plans—"...and then we're gonna brush our teeth, and then Abbey's gonna read me a story, and then..."—continuing not only through the evening, but halfway to next afternoon: "...and then we're gonna get dressed, and then we're gonna have breakfast..." Nothing if not thorough. I get the feeling that his simple-seeming life excites him beyond all imagining, and isn't that what we all want for our kids? Hell, isn't that what we want for ourselves?
4) Speaking of exciting: Meeting LJ folks. Lots of 'em. This'll be cooooool.
