Brain mushy. Actually fell asleep on the couch while Anna was updating a moment ago. Will be taking it to the bedroom very shortly, just as soon as I'm done with this post.

I finally got my hands on some more JBz [sic] today. If you're not familiar, the folks behind JellyBelly jelly beans, the most perfectly-flavored jelly beans on earth, have broken into the chocolate market by creating their version of M&Ms: milk chocolate center, with a candy coating blessed with JellyBelly flavors like Toasted Marshmallow, Coconut, Raspberry, Orange Juice, Honey Graham Cracker, Juicy Pear, even Buttered Popcorn. I got totally hooked on the one box I picked up a month ago, and hadn't seen them anywhere until today—as a damn clearance item. *sigh* Oh, well. I bought the last 3 sample-sized boxlets at half off, and will be savoring them for the next few days. (If you happen upon any, grab 'em, wouldja?)

To [livejournal.com profile] lbitw: Thank you so much for the chipper reminder this morning. *more with the sighing*

Doozy of a thunderstorm today. I absolutely adore thunderstorms; unfortunately, we don't get as many of them in upstate NY as we did in Illinois. This time around I had the dubious pleasure of being out running errands when the fire and brimstone came down, but at least I got to see lightning strikes directly in front of me for the first time in ages.

I'm trying to decide if owning a funky falsetto soul cover of AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" is worth the degree to which [livejournal.com profile] rafaela is going to kill me. Speaking of: Music of a related nature will be handed to thee, [livejournal.com profile] shadesong and [livejournal.com profile] yendi. 'Tis good. I promise.

I realized that I never did tell the whole story of the visit with the kidlings last week. That's partially because not much that was terribly out of the ordinary happened: playground time, dinner at Friendly's, hanging out and such. The one noteworthy event was Nik's pre-school "graduation", an outdoor ice cream social complete with an out-of-control hay fight and a sing-along that included a 73-verse song about pizza. When it came time to hand out the construction-paper diplomas, Nik was the absolute last kid to be called, but he bore it amazingly patiently, until he finally got to go up, which he did at a dead run, followed by whoops of, "I did it! I won!" (More or less how I felt when I finished high school."

So, tags. Should I, or no?

All right. Hitting the "submit" button, then hitting the hay. Sleep well, everyone.
