I may need to take a short sabbatical from LJ until the post-Katrina situation has faded somewhat, because I really can't read much more of this. In the meantime, though, I can still blather about inane malarkey like I usually do. Go, me.
I purchased a cheap $15 pair of jeans today, unintentionally exploiting New York's Sales Tax Free Week. These Tax Free Weeks have got to be the stupidest incentives to get people out and shopping ever. I mean, would you go to an advertised "7% Off Sale, This Week Only!" promotion? On the other hand, I was there, I needed pants, I'm not going to complain about the dollar I saved, so... *shrug* This purchase, by the way, brings my total count of currently wearable pants to two. Three, if I ever get the button on my khakis replaced. (Or four, if I happen to zoink out and gain the personal ambition to patch the crotch of my last pair of jeans. Not bloody likely, cupcake.)

rafaela paid me a great compliment today: "Adam, you're a riot grrl with a dick." At least, I think it's a compliment. I certainly took it as one. *cues up Bikini Kill mp3 for Current Music purposes*
Oh, and by the by: I've been readingjenni_the_odd's LJ for several years now; lately, though, she's been doing up many of her entries in comic strip format. As a direct result of this, I have had to limit my beverage consumption while on the Internetty-thing, because I've been taking too much Cherry 7-Up into my nasal cavities.
More fajitas tomorrow. More happy us.
