So, I got an e-mail from Susan, the former editor at Games Magazine, with whom I corresponded throughout my first few years writing stuff for them. She said that she had, I quote, "good news and good news." Good news part one was that her sister Julie had visited her in Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving dinner. Good news the second is that this sister lives north of Glens Falls, and travels down to this fair city about once a week or so.
The reason these are good news for me? Because Susan asked Julie if she would be so kind as to take a few boxes up north with her, and deliver them uno me. Two large, heavy boxes that she had earmarked for me not long after she'd left her old job.
In summary: This week, I shall be receiving nearly every issue of Games ever published. In unscribbled, pristine condition.
Oh. My. GOD. I will never be bored again. And I will never stop Happydancing.
Susan and Julie do truly rock like rocking things. I thank them with all my heart and soul; if y'all are reading this, how can I ever repay you?
