Responses to questions asked at this here poll-thingy:
You obviously don't like your job. So, if you could be working at any job right now, what would it be?
Absolute dream? An editorial position at Games, although I am to understand that Kappa Publishing, the folks putting out the magazine now, aren't exactly the best employers. Failing that... *shrug* Something in the publishing field in general would be cool.
So how much did you actually write?
Sadly, only marginally above 10,000 words; I lost my momentum, and never got it back. Still, 10,000 was my "mini-goal" from the start, the idea being that that would still be 10,000 more words than I'd written this year to date. So, not too disappointed. (You, however, rock.)
If you could visit anywhere in the world right now, money not an issue, where would you go?
British Isles. No contest.
Are your kids aware you're poly? Were you poly with your (ex)wife?
Nope, they're not. At this point, there's really nothing for them to know: our poly-ness really only extends to the possibility of other play-partners, which is squarely in the none-of-the-kids'-business camp. Were there a second significant other, there might be some more explaining to do.
As for the ex-wife, emphatically no. I was downright paranoid about her possibly seeking outside interests, and thus didn't have the level of trust that'd allow for that sort of thing. My only poly experience prior to this was wayyyy back in my sophomore year in college, when I was involved with two girls, one of which (the one who'd eventually become my first ex-wife, and yes, I've done this twice) was involved with a close friend of mine, all with everyone else's knowledge. Short-lived, but an early indication that yes, maybe I could stand this sort of thing.
What's your most important/dearest personal goal for 2006?
To figure out what I'm going to do when I grow up. It's still way up in the air.
How many people on your friends list have you ever fantasized about?
Christ, how many haven't I? Hang on... *scans list* Seriously fantasized about? Looks like about 16. Work out which ones amongst yourselves.
What is your time and place of birth? I need to astrologically pigeonhole you (Eastern and Western versions).
*grin* It was Blue Island, IL, on Jan 7, 1971 at 12:30. The embarrassing part is that I don't recall if that's AM or PM. (I'm pretty sure it's AM.)
Name 3 things on your Gotta Do Someday list.
1) Record and release a CD.
2) Visit the UK. (See above.)
3) Attend culinary school, if only for a short time.
Hey! D'ya wanna have coffee....as soon as the death stops? Like next week Huh? Ya Wanna Ya Wanna?
Dear heavenses, yes! Call us, woman!
Still accepting questions, if you wish.
