What I ate at the Taste of the North Country Festival yesterday:

* confit of duck over buttermilk risotto with kiln-dried cherries, chevre and strawberry marinara
* lobster and roasted corn chowder with sherry wine cream
* grilled sea scallops over a spicy Japanese seaweed salad with ponzu sauce
* penne pasta with smoked chicken, bacon and prosciutto ham in a Bourgin Mornay
* homemade kielbasa
* flan de vainilla
* crème caramel

Total cost of all the above: about $10.50. Can you see why I made a point of going?

Two notes:
1) The kielbasa? Best. Kielbasa. Ever. (And please note that this is a guy from Chicago talkin'. I knows my kielbasa.)
2) If you're ever in a position when you have to ask yourself, "Hmm, I wonder which duck confit selection I should go with....?" you can be pretty sure you're in the right place.
