Christmas Eve, alla breve
Dec. 24th, 2006 11:25 pm1) Nik has spent his Christmas Eve throwing up. Abbey, on the other hand, spent it bouncing off the walls.

rafaela and I hung out at the Chadwick house, where we ate, Anna got introduced to the World Series of Pop Culture, and the kids' mom Kristi got introduced to the Evil Force that is B*P*A*L. She was left with an imp of Enraged Bunny Musk because, as Anna put it, "the first hit is free."
3) Pre-Santa rituals were taken care of: cookies and milk were set out, NORAD's Santa Tracker was consulted every ten minutes, and Magic Reindeer Food (a baby food jar filed with raw oats and glittery stuff) was sprinkled out in the front lawn.
4) Abbey: "Dad, your bald spot's getting bigger." Thanks, dear.
5) Apparently the kids' Grandpa was walking by the TV room today and peeked in on the kids, at which time Nik looked him dead in the eye and said, "Just keep on walkin'." I don't even want to know what they were doing.
6) I came home with a Musical 20 Questions electronic game from the kids, which they gift-wrapped themselves. And a huge bag of leftovers. I am happy, and Anna and I both had fun. Yay, Christmas Eve!
