slipjig3: (gashlycrumb clara)
Goooood morning, world. Coughing, sneezing, stuffy nose, sore throat and a Benadryl hangover? Oh, lucky me. And thanks to the new Carthaginian attendance policies, I still have to go to work today. *coma*

When I'm up and about a bit more, remind me to post something with content attached. In the meantime, I'm going to go rehorizontalize myself.

1) Came home from work early, thanks to the plague I up and caught. Misery abounds, but at least it's now abounding in my living room with comforting beverages.

2) I suppose missing Blades and Blarney (the local SCA event held today) due to work was marginally better than missing it due to illness. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

3) And now for the purely mercenary portion of the post: the latest issue of Games Magazine is available on newsstands now, with a little something by me inside. Purchase! Enjoy! [/shameless plug]

4) The other day I was arguing with a man who needed Directory Assistance to look up the number for Cox Communications, but insisted on talking himself around in circles for a few minutes. Exasperated, I finally yelled, "Sir, did you or did you not just say you were looking for Cox?!" Sadl;y, I didn't catch it until Colleen nearly fell out of her chair laughing behind me.

5) Between finding out that the Pentangle's five original members reunited and played recently to accept a lifetime achievement award, and finding out that Fairport Convention will be performing Liege and Lief in its entirety at this year's Cropedy with the original album band lineup (minus Sandy Denny, of course), I am in full-out Brit folk-rock fanboy squee mode. Highly unbecoming, but dammit, I don't much care.
