From the files of Agent [livejournal.com profile] mgrasso, I have been directed to Band Madness, a.k.a. March Madness for music freaks. I'm all over this like gravy on poutine.

Speaking of which, there's something I've been looking for for years. In the early 90's, Spy Magazine published this amazing thing some whacked-out historian put together: a March Madness-style playoff bracket using nations of the world, past and present. Every pairing had engaged in a war at some point, which was listed, and the winner of said war moved on to the next round, where again they had engaged in a war with their opponent. 32 nations got narrowed down to a Final Two, which remained unplayed (I think it came down to something like North Vietnam vs. Angola) If anyone can help me track this down, many rewards will be bestowed. Thanks.
