Tackling the questions from this poll:

Who is your favorite cinematographer? Why? Aiee, you're starting with a hard one! Hm.... I'd probably have to go with Gregg Toland, simply because in many ways he invented the modern visual language of cinema. He was one of the first, if not the first, to look at D.W. Griffith's innovations and truly see how wide the doors for the cinematographer really were. If you wanted a modern name....hm. Maybe Roger Pratt, for his work with Gilliam?

Why do you get up each morning? It's the more interesting of the two options. Usually.

What's your favorite movie? My usual answer is Singin' in the Rain, which I never ever ever get tired of. Catch me in a certain mood, and I might say Coppola's The Conversation. Rest of the top 5: probably The Piano, Brazil, and Vanya on 42nd Street, unless Schindler's List gets bumped up a notch or two.

What summer movie are you most excited about? Y'know what? I honestly have to say, "None of the above." this is the one year where my awareness of upcoming films is limited, and the few I do know about bore me to tears. What should I know about?

How old were you when you became a vegan? I think you have me confused with someone else, because I am a confirmed carnivore. In fact, I'm polishing off the leftover kung pao chicken as I type this. Sorry.
