To those of such a persuasion to receive such blessings: Blessed Samhain!
To everyone: Happy Halloween!
Speaking of which, I found out what my kids' costumes are this year. Abbey, age ten-going-on-sixteen, is dressing as a Diva Star, even though she was rather taken aback by the fact that the costume in question turned out to be open-backed and rather immodest (problem solved with a flesh-colored body stocking). Nikolas, on the other hand, is going as Darth Vader, which required a special trip to the store to get a different (i.e. red) light saber because the one that came with the costume was blue, which is the Wrong Color. It's the sort of thing that makes a geek dad's eyes well up with tears of pride. (These are the kids who know the difference bwteen R2-D2 and R5-D4.)
