Oh, yay, wet socks. *pthpthbthbth*
Feb. 13th, 2008 01:54 pmLet's chat a bit about the weather, shall we?
[bleep] this [bleep]ing [bleep] with a [bleep]ing [bleep] until it [bleep]s its [bleep]ish [bleep]-[bleep] all over the [bleep]ing [bleep]. And the horse it [bleep]ed in on.
I think I just gave my content editor a case of the vapors.
Seriously, there's nothing quite like the transition from excessive snow to freezing rain to just plain rain to deplete one's stores of good will toward mankind. Excavating the car this morning was like shelling a hazelnut, which is kind of fun in its own way (best part: finding the exact spot to tap with the snow brush to cause the entire back bumper ice floe to drop to the pavement), but it's hard to enjoy such things when one's wading ankle-deep in the off-season Hudson Bay that the parking lot has turned into. This is truly a day for bundling up in blankets and sipping cocoa and watching DVDs and reading trashy novels.
Sadly, my employers have other ideas in mind. Off to the showers with me. *grumble*
