Blogathon!
Jul. 14th, 2008 10:42 pmI have been horribly remiss in my Blogathon duties, so to catch up:
Blogathon 2008 is coming!
This will be my third year as a participant, and my second as a member of Team Venture. (Go, Team Venture! *does that finger-signal thing*) For those unfamiliar with the event: starting on the morning of Saturday, July 26, we Blogathonians will be blogging for 24 hours straight, one entry every half-hour, to raise money for the chariries of our choosing. This year, in honor of my grandfather Robert Hophni Sampsell who passed away earlier this year, I am blogging in support of the American Cancer Society, with a pledge goal of $500.
Since the usual organizers of Blogathon have been unable to run it this year, we'll be handling pledges differently. If you wish to support me and my chosen cause, you may make your donation at the Society's website here; if you're unable to donate at this time but wish to do so at some point in the future, you may make a pledge by responding to this post with a pledge amount or privately in an e-mail or personal LJ message. (If you donate now, be sure to let me know that, too. And if any other Blogathonians know of a better way to handle the pledge system, please drop me a line.)
You can read about some of the other participants or join in the fun at
blogathon_2008. Thank you all again, and looking forward to sharing my sleep deprivation with you!
