Playing catch-up
Sep. 17th, 2008 11:35 pmI don't know why my posting has been so sporadic lately. Let me see if I can get at least somewhat up-to-date:

rafaela had her follow-up appointment to last week's removal of two moles. The incisions are healing nicely, but the lab reports on the biopsy showed the removed tissue to be pre-cancerous. Granted, the bullet has been dodged since said moles are no longer attached to her person, and "pre-cancerous" is not the same as "cancerous," but just having the "C" word come up has rattled us a bit. Needless to say, we're shopping for sunscreen with an SPF 105. ("Say, do you have anything in Kevlar, by chance?") Oh, and she's glad she can shower again.
* Ow ow ow ow TENSION. I feel like my spine is going to snap in half today, tugged by muscles that seem to have been replaced by Formica or the equivalent. Sleep situation's better, but I think an early bedtime is in order anyway.
* Tomorrow, the kidlings start on their dance classes. Abbey's taking up ballet again—longtime readers will remember her adventures in ballet class from five or six years ago, but this is her first return to the barre since then. She's got a knack for dance, so I'm betting this'll be quite the awesome. And Nik? Hip-hop. Duuude. I've seen him dance contemporary, and I can honestly say, "Boy's Got Moves." Can't wait for the talent shows! (Also, mention of Abbey and Nik means I get to use my new "kid on munky" icon.)
* Writing has begun again on The Noise of Endless Wars! I wrote a whole page! Well, most of one. Kinda. But it's writing! On the book! I demand party favors!
