Pointless conversations in diners optional
Feb. 6th, 2009 11:22 pmFor some reason, I've lately been defaulting into the Recasting Game during conversation lulls. The game, such as it is, is simple: choose a movie/play/whatever (e.g. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Producers, etc.), then recast the thing using your LJ friends. Hours of fun ensue.
I was in this frame of mind earlier when I struck up with
rafaela: "So," I asked, "between you and me, which of us is Vince, and which is Jules?"
"Neither," she said without a moment's hesitation. "I can't really be either of them."
"Mia, maybe?"
"Nahh. I don't think I'm anybody in Pulp Fiction." She paused, thoughtful. "Except maybe Lance the drug dealer." I proceeded to cover my mouth, scream into my palm and point at her, bug-eyed. Omigod, that was it. The only thing better would've been if she'd been wearing my terry-cloth bathrobe when she said it.
So! I invite you all to play along at home. Opening the matter to the floor:
