Weekend with the kids was survived quite handily. We had a great time (with the occasional rocky parts), didn't get lost en route to any of the five or six destinations we attempted, managed to leave every light on in Kristi's house when we left while somehow accidentally cranking the thermostat up to 75° (sorry! aiee...), and expanded our appreciation of the Worcester area. I still need to do the Pinewood Derby post and the Chuck E. Cheese's post, but for now, I'll just say that I already miss the little niblets.

Today, I had to be at work at 8 a.m., which never happens, because I had to attend an eight-hour seminar on crisis management skills. Um, whee. Not a bad course, all told; it wasn't as bad as, say, the one with the giant Styrofoam dominoes that were supposed to somehow illustrate the effects of calling in sick as opposed to showing up and spreading your misery-plague amongst the masses. On the other hand, IT WAS AN EIGHT-HOUR SEMINAL ON CRISIS MANAGEMENT SKILLS. I swear I saw Scott Adams's signature in the corner.

And now, I'm underslept and belly-stuffed with cheap salmon burgers and hash browns, so I shall take my leave. Before I go, though, I want to send out my best wishes to those of you going through rough patches, be it because of money or jobs or family troubles or stress or loss of loved ones. I haven't had much chance to respond to f'list posts, but do know that you're loved, and I'm keeping you all in my thoughts. Sleep well, friends.
