Better living through chemistry

My work schedule says I should have been at work 15 minutes ago, but toxic chemicals trump company scheduling, apparently. Long and short of it is that some pesticides sprayed near my office building got sucked into the ventilation system and sent several people to the hospital. At this point, we're just waiting on the air quality tests to get back before returning to duty, which should allegedly be happening this afternoon at some point.

I'm grateful for the time off (paid, I might add), but now I flinch every time the phone rings. I don't wanna go back! You can't make me! Up the Republic!

Many of you will be happy to know that I finally tired of the deranged lumberjack look, so I took an axe (or the nearest available facsimile) and removed a portion of my face. There is evidence.
