A dinnertime discussion of stripper names led to the question: what would your stripper name be? rafaela refused to answer the question for a moment, then, when pressed (and probably in a bid to shut me up), she came out with Trillian, with the Eagles' "Journey of the Sorcerer" as her music of choice.

This did not shut me up. Instead, I grabbed her by the arm as I was seized by the Greatest Idea Ever (of the Day): "Oh, my God. Three words: geek strip club."

She was decidedly unimpressed, but I was already on a brainstorming roll: Slave Leia. Federation uniforms. Farscape. Omigod, this was going to be a gold mine. I blathered further.

"No," she said.

"But..."

"No."

"Give me one good reason why not."

"Strip clubs are sleazy."

"This one wouldn't be." We have a clientele to serve, after all.

She pondered a moment, and I could feel her interest shift. "Only if hughcasey will be the bouncer."

I laughed. "I'm pretty sure he can be talked into it."

She nodded. "21 and over only."

"Yes."

"Drug-free."

"Of course." I paused. "And best of all? More than one body type." That thought alone was making me swoon.
