Fear my references!
Sep. 27th, 2010 02:55 pmA while back, I mentioned that Chris at the Oxford University Press blog had commissioned another puzzle from me. While we were negotiating that deal, he asked for my new address so that he could send me the Oxford Historical Thesaurus. He's sent me books before, nifty little paperbacks and such, so I wasn't surprised.
This, however, is what I got today:

That's 4000 pages worth of reference, kids, in over 15 pounds of hardcover volumes. You could kill a rhino with this thing. The correct response at this point is "Day-um...."
Best part? He emailed me last week because he'd forgotten if he'd sent it out, and was dropping another one in the mail just in case. The one that just arrived? Mailed out on the 9th. So I'm getting two of these. (Other one spoken for already, so sorry.)
