The skinny

Just a quick update, since I haven't posted here since figmentj's mom went into the hospital and we were about to get on a plane to Tulsa: her mother responded pretty well to antibiotics, but her gall bladder had to come out. Laproscopic surgery went down on Monday, home from the hospital today, doing groggy but relatively well, and we return to Boston tomorrow. Thank you all for the good thoughts and the well-wishes; fuller reports to follow, once I'm done sleeping in anticipation of an early flight. Cheers!
