slipjig3337 words. To my amazement, I actually started. And already, I find myself fighting the urge to scream, "No! This sucks like...suck! Delete! Delete!" That's going to be my greatest NaNoWriMo challenge: Not worrying about fixing every bad line until I get to the editing stage (i.e. sometime after November).
That said, although my word count is utterly miniscule, I need to put this away for now because I am rapidly reverting to my pumpkin-state. (No comments from the peanut gallery on that, and you know who you are.) Back to work in the morning.

rafaela's birthday, it was very, very grand. We mostly stayed at home during the day, grazing on donut holes and spending time online. Then came dinner at Little India with botia and icarusfallen8 and lbitw and jenphalian, at which we all ate and drank ourselves sick and waxed vulgar and had a groovy time of it all. The gelato place that was supposed to have been our dessert destination was closed, the heartless bastards, so we headed to Uncommon Grounds and snarfed pastries and ogled the cute people and waxed vulgar again. Anna made off with lots of music and lots of Cowboy Bebop and a bitchin' T-shirt that I am so going to borrow form her when she's not looking and our very own copy of Killer Bunnies, so I think she did quite well.
And now, my regularly scheduled coma. *thunk*
