My LJ usage is now at the point where I get a bit upset if a day goes by when I neglect to post. Yesterday was much the busy, so here's what should have been said, but wasn't:

Kids have been safely transplanted to their grandparents' house for the week. In related news, my living room now looks like war-torn Zagreb. Aiee. 'Twas a groovy time all around, though; yesterday morning, they even let me sleep until seven, with an extra hour once I got the VCR going for them. On the other hand, Nik dusted off his patented Wagnerian temper tantrum in the middle of Dunkin' Donuts because I threw away the last two bites of his bagel, which he had tossed in the bag of garbage I had assembled at the table. We both got over it, though.

Then it was hangin' out with [livejournal.com profile] lbitw and [livejournal.com profile] jenphalian, which is always awesome beyond awesome. I popped by in the early afternoon while Jen was out, and Jason and I chatted sex and played endless games of cribbage. Then, upon Jen's return, we made dinner: Jason whipped up some gorgeous venison medallions with mushrooms and onions, I threw together some fetuccine Alfredo and roasted green beans, and we enjoyed all of the above with some of Jen's cranberry joy-in-a-jar and good sourdough. < /foodporn >

I also had two important gaps in my life experience filled:
a) I played Settlers of Catan for the first time. (You heard me right. Never had before. Honest.)
b) I saw Sifl and Olly for the first time. Is there something wrong with me that I was killing myself laughing over this? (Jen lent me the video! Yay!)

A grand day. As shall today be: [livejournal.com profile] rafaela arrives home. *happydance*

I had a few days where I wasn't in the mood for the PC at all and yep, I felt all guilty, too.

Hurray and welcome home, Rafaela!

I think I've only played settlers twice or so. More would be nice.

Settlers has a similar problem as Killer Bunnies. It has expansions that cost money.
