slipjig3Oy, my head. Miserable mood, miserable day, passing miserably, replete with monitors going black (all better now, thanks), unfortunate news, sniping and general crankiness. And I got my first racial epithet at work today.
But then. Then. I got a call from a coworker, a crossword fan who has been good enough to playtest some of my stuff, and who has a son who works for Oxford Press and also gets my stuff when she's done with it. Upshot: contest, limited enrolment. First prize: trip to England to hang out with the folks working on the new abridged OED. Gee golly gosh, Adam, would you be interested? *drool* *pathetic greedy whimpering noises* Need to make a phone call tomorrow....
I don't know which I'm more tired of, though: coughing or sweating. Bleagh.
