Life is skittles and life is beer
Mar. 7th, 2008 01:32 pmThe universe occasionally likes to lull us into a false sense of complacency by tossing a nice day our way, hoping we embrace the good weather long enough to dash our finest hopes with a mid-April ice storm or some such malarkey. That said, I'm not going to turn down a day like today: gorgeous sunny spring-like weather, warm anough for me to ditch the jacket in the car and tool around with the windows down. To sweeten the deal, the DJ was kind enough to oblige with Falco, Tommy Tutone, Depeche Mode and Semisonic back-to-back. I don't think I've ever felt better screaming out a phone number to no one in particular.
Meanwhile, over at Arby's, they have these new Buffalo Popcorn Chicken Shakers. Concept: Breaded chicken fragments in a cup with a lid—pour on the sauce, cover, shake and eat. That's the concept, anyway. Actual course of events: pour on the sauce, cover, shake, taste, wince, spit, wipe tongue with napkin, fling remaining chicken fragments at passing mall vermin. Advice: avoid product like a hooker with a visible infection. (I don't think it's related, but they gave me a senior discount today. I'm not entirely sure how to take that.)
