1) A zit at the exact juncture of the upper lip and both nostrils makes life inconvenient.

2) The other day, I was buying postage using the local P.O.'s automated system, and was met at the end of the transaction with a chirpy, "It has been a pleasure to serve you." First thought was a mental flinch upon realizing that a computer was telling me this; second thought was that I'd just been chatting with an Ood. It's official: I'm a dork.

3) As long as we're discussing Doctor Who reruns:
Quote from [livejournal.com profile] rafaela: "The Rani: She-Wolf of Gallifrey."
(And I still hold that the old-school Master was a total queen.)

4) I return to work in two days. Kill me, please.

5) Empire Magazine just published the results of what they call "the biggest movie survey ever," but which I call "what the hell is wrong with you people?!" The problem is not that they asked 175 well-know people in Hollywood; the problem is that they then shouted them down with 10,000 readers of the magazine itself—a magazine that carries close ties with FHM. (Hint: if your top 500 list not only contains Back to the Future but also Back to the Future 2, SOMETHING HAS GONE DESPERATELY WRONG.)

For this reason (and the fact that I'm lonely, bored and pathetic), I'm dusting off my own biennial movie survey. Details to appear within the next 24 hours; watch this space.

YAY! XD

We need your survey!! If the current rendition of Wuthering Heights on Masterpiece Classic gets any worse, we will have a new genre of horror on our hands: hystrionic whingy-screechy scream-o-rama. Nobody taught the people acting in this version any subtlety. But I digress:D. Carry on, and save my poor soul from death by bad playhouse!

I didn't, unfortunately; it was a bit too esoteric for a lot of people, I fear, and only about 10 people were responding every day, which didn't much make it worth the effort I was putting into it. We'll see what happens.
