Macaroni failure

slipjig3Macaroni and cheese attempt #1: Totally forgot about it, remembering only once the macaroni had been boiled until each elbow was the size of a Waring blender and the consistency of Vicks Vap-O-Rub. Currently residing in the garbage.
Macaroni and cheese attempt #2: Absentmindedly turned on the wrong burner, thus heating the frying pan used to brown yesterday's salmon burgers until the whole apartment smelled like Fred's House of Flaming Chum. Windows now open.
Macaroni and cheese attempt #3: In progress. Watch this space.
EDIT: We have finally achieved macaroni and cheese. And it's even still before midnight. (Barely.)
