I knew something was up last Thursday, when in the midst of my packing frenzy I turned the basement doorknob and it just...turned. No latchy-noises, no openy-movements, just a free-spinning doorknob. Now, when that occurs, it's really no problem to just grab your trusty Phillips-head screwdriver and pop off the offending knob, unless of course all of your trusty Phillips=head screwdrivers are on the other side of that door. Hmmm...
Then this morning, we had a fun one: the refrigerator door fell off. Yup, that's what I said.
The disturbing thing is, I was the one holding the door in both instances. My mom-in-law seems to be backing away from me verrrry slowly these days....
