1) I'm beginning to realize that LiveJournal may be the most corrupting influence I've ever allowed into my life. And I like it.

2) My quote on Tuesday: "Mom, I know you're going to look at me funny when I say this, but that is one sexy refrigerator."

3) They opened a Long John Silvers in Queensbury, and the line for the drive-up window now sometimes stretches around the building, through the parking lot, onto Route 9, down the road a quarter-mile, around the corner, and halfway to Aviation Mall. There have been fist fights reported among people trying to get in the damn door. For a Long John Silvers, people. I live in a sad, sad area.

4) I need to start saving up for plane tickets. Where's a stupid fare war when you need one?

5) There are times when I hate my job, and then there are times like the other night, when eight of us got into a discussion, while we were taking calls, on whether one should or shouldn't tip a prostitute. Honestly, I didn't realize what a complicated issue this is. Must ponder.

6) All right, what is up with my optical mouse? Every now and then, I'll be minding my own business, trying to slide over to click some such, and all of a sudden the cursor will go skittering off into the corner like a panicky chipmunk for no apparent reason. I really don't want my cursors to have that kind of autonomy, especially if they're inclined to hide under a bush whenever Actual Work comes a-callin'. (That's my job, dammit.)

Do you have a CUEcat?

I thought that mine did that when it caught sight of the cat on the other side of the keyboard. (kidding, Kidding)

Is it a cordless optical? Mu cordless one does that with annoying regularity. But I don't have any problems with my corded optical... hmmm... maybe the desk surface is too reflective? I dunno, but you're not alone, 'cause mine does that too.

There was one by the Pizza Hut on Rte. 9 a long, long time ago, and now it is back. My mother was so excited. She wasted no time in going into 15 min on the glories of Long John Silver's.

Nope, it's an old-fashioned tethered variety. Good to know that I'm not the only one with a haunted cursor. The best I can figure is that I'm just barely lifting the mouse at a slight angle, which causes the optics to give bad readings, but I haven't been able to deliberately duplicate it. Hm....

I'd really like to know what the LJS cult is all about. I wouldn't mind trying it, but there are limits to how long I'm willing to wait for deep-fried anything.

Agreed. My mom doesn't even like fish, but she's so stoked about LJS.

I think it is fast food that isn't McDonalds that has everyone in a freny. Hmmm ... I'll take ADK bagel cafe, thanks!

(Oooohh ... i miss the bagel cafe ... no one does bacon egg and cheese quite like they do!)

My corded optical mouse jitters and shivers and refuses to do what I want it to at regular intervals.

I'm so glad to see that someone else is forever distracted by the evil fun that is LiveJournal. Work on my thesis, or read LJ communities and journals? Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
