Today was Errand Day, and a full one at that. My itinerary, in order of visitation:

1) The bank, to make a deposit for the mom-in-law and to cash a publication check for gift shopping purposes.

2) Queensbury Town Court, to pay off that speeding ticket. Since when is Black Friday a legal holiday, people? Was there ot one person capable of hauling themselves off the couch to come in to work? Jeez Louise...

3) Corporate Whores Toys 'R' Us. Someone must've slipped some wacky weed into the cranberry sauce last night to get me to do this without a taser to protect myself. All in all, though, it wasn't bad, partly because I went in with a mercifully short prepared list (Fisher Price pogo stick for Nik, Twister for Abbey, KinderBot cartridges for both, and thank the maker that they don't have my LJ address). The aforementioned publication check went rapidly bye-bye.

4) Price Chopper, to oder Abbey's Finding Nemo birthday cake (because gods forbid you have a birthday with a cake unadorned by a multimillion-dollar cash cow, albeit a cute one).

5) YMCA, to pay for Abbey's after-school program.

6) work, to see if I could get a few particular days off a few weekends from now

7) Crock-a-Gators Day Care, to hand them a check. They told me it could wait, so it's waiting (see stops 1 through 5). I am going to inform Nik that he needs to get a job.

8) The Health Center for a checkup.

9) Home. About damned time.

We were visiting Matthew's aunt in the hospital yesterday and they have a big fish tank right outside her room -- and one of the fish had died. A clownfish, of course. And one of his cousins was saying that her kids had named the fish Nemo and that they were going to be disappointed the next time they came to visit Grandma and saw that Nemo was gone.

Your post reminded me. Sorry.
