1) Oy, all the stuff... *holds head*

2) Well, Abbey has finally had one of those defining terror-stricken moments of childhood: someone got her the Spirited Away DVD (probably Kristi, on the theory that, if she's going to watch anime, she might as well be watching the real stuff). She tucked herself into bed, started watching, and broke down sobbing in fear when they got to the part about people being swallowed. As of the next morning, she never ever ever wanted to see it again, not even the box. Ten minutes later, she insisted she had to finish watching it. Her current verdict: the movie is awesome, but keep it away from her. (For me, it was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The boat ride wigged me out at 7.)

3) I think I can officially call my DVD collection a Collection now. Not a big collection, mind you, but a collection nonetheless. Furthermore, I now have a Coconuts gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket, which should be good for one more DVD and a CD besides. The problem is, my birthday is in a week and a half, and my Christmas list has also served as my birthday list, so I can't get anything I wrote down. Which means Secretary and Requiem for a Dream are right out. Hmmm...

4) Ultra-secret message to [livejournal.com profile] rafaela: The mark is fading. *sigh*

5) My, my, Steve from Blue's Clues is quite the little post-punk prog-rocker, ain't he? I also got Ashley MacIsaac's latest, as well as—[livejournal.com profile] shadesong, take note—the latest from Great Big Sea. (And books. And lots of chocolate. *happy dance*)

6) Relevant quote from me, at the office, around 11:45 p.m. on Christmas night: "Trey, my job sucks. Fix it." (Then again, I was getting triple time for the seconds I wasted saying that, so I'll keep my trap shut.)

For me it was Malificent in Disney's Sleeping Beauty, especially at the end when she turns into a dragon. I saw it once when I was six and didn't watch it again until about 10 or 11 years later.

Thank gods I haven't seen it yet. I'd probably wig out on that now.

I think you already have a sec. In fact, I think you have too many of them. You're always thinking about secs these days.

My childhood-terror movie was either Return to Oz or Little Shop of Horrors. More likely both. I couldn't get through Little Shop until I was sixteen and actually performing in the show.

Great Big Sea has a new one?

Well, newish, i.e. 2002. (To be painfully honest, I wasn't terribly impressed.)

On 5: MP3 link now plzkthx, Steve kicks some serious arse. Also, which "latest" from Great Big Sea? I'd love to know how far behind you poor Americans are on their most wonderful music. I almost feel bad... once I saw Up in an American music store. They advertised it by saying, "They're Canadian... need we say more?" Because, you know, I'm still apologizing for and renouncing Celine Dion.

also posting because [livejournal.com profile] rafaela made me sup adam asl
