That which is on my sleep-deprived mind
Feb. 3rd, 2004 08:46 amA somewhat groggy edition of By the Numbers:
1) So I finally got to see Boohbah, the latest in hip-import TV for the under-four crowd and (not incidentally) Nik's newest obsession. I am reasonably certain that the brainstorming session at the BBC went something like this: "Hey, I know! Let's remake Teletubbies, only this time, let's give the writers even more psilocybin mushrooms!"
2) Folks on my friends' list keep coming to Boston, which is firmly in the close-but-not-close-enough department. Albany, people! Albany! I don't care if there's nothing to do there!
3) I made my first-ever iTunes Music Store purchase last night. Ohhhhhhh, I am in such big, fat, quacking trouble now. Let it be known that there is such a thing as "way too convenient." (For the record: "Cynical Girl," by Marshall Crenshaw. I had a craving.)
4) Here's the thing about kids: even when one decides to go to bed at a reasonable hour for a change, one can be fairly certain that a good night's sleep will not be forthcoming anyway. Zzzzzz...
