Miles from civilization...

Well, the move went reasonably swimmingly, and the settling-in process is in the downhill stretch, but there is one glaring snafu that is aggravating my dander at the moment: the rat bastards at the company-I-shall-not-name-because-it's-bad-policy-to-bad-mouth-the-telecommunications-company-you-work-for have lied to me. As a result, my DSL service will not be available until next week, leaving me to come crawling to the library to check my e-mail and friends' list, and to discover what a Web addict I really am. What joy.
But in general, things are of the not-bad variety. Once I have things in order, I'll be telling you all about the move, and how the kids are adjusting (they seem to be okay for the most part, but it's difficult), and Abbey's Girl Scouts ceremony, and (since this will have taken place by then)
rafaela's arrival.
In the meantime: how're you all doing?
