Me: What?
Anna: We just bought socks and underwear together, and today we're getting a cat.
Me: All right, that does it. We've gotten entirely too domestic.
Anna: [helpfully] But...we're still edgy...

Kevin and I were appalled the first time we realized we were wandering around Target buying stuff on a Friday night. Later-- it was Saturday night at Walmart. We're crazy! (Now, usually we would dine out beforehand at least). 'Course we rationalize that we're going when it's not crowded . . . yup.

And then joke about how edgy and hip and what scenesters we are.
