1) First and foremost, to my friends in Florida and the surrounding environs: Do be careful, okay? I expect status reports to make sure you're all still copacetic, you hear me? *glares at you all*

2) The cat is currently beating the living pudding out of her tail. I really need to take her aside and tell her, "Um, dear? You are aware that that thing is permanently attached to your heinie, aren't you?

3) My Wheel-Baby (that would be the slightly cripply Honda Odyssey) is off at sleepaway camp, known to the insurance company as the auto body repair shop. Thank the powers that be that my policy pays 80% on car rentals, because that means being able to take whatever Enterprise on hand, which means driving around for a week in a Grand Prix, which means a CD player with really ferking good subwoofers. I don't feel like getting out of the car any more.

4) The wee ones have safely moved to Amherst, MA, and are ensconced in their new second-floor hobbit hole with Kristi & Rob. Abbey started 2nd flippin' grade yesterday, and I'm regretting typing that because now I feel downright decrepit.

5) I now have enough of a beard to get food trapped in it. It's annoying, but it makes my plans of dressing as the Dude from The Big Lebowski for Halloween that much easier.

*raises right hand* I've got an 8th grader over here. hmm... maybe if I just live in denial that my baby is growing up, I'll never feel old! yeah, that's the ticket...

You have to either keep the beard until you visit C-U, or take pictures.

One or the other will happen, comrade. I still can't get used to you not having one.

*facepalm* Sorry, thanks for catching that. My Mac's power cord got kicked out, and I had to reset the date and time; unfortunately, I did so incorrectly. D'oh...
